The O to the M to the G! Post & Giveaway

Hey there! Long time no post…lol  No, but really two posts in one day…AMAZING.  This is sort of an impromptu post.  This evening my kids were sent upstairs to go to bed. Then I had to make a “quick” phone call.  As I was still on the phone I ventured upstairs to make sure the kiddies got into bed (or more so herd them into bed).  Anyway, I get upstairs and both kids are in  my room….not really anything different.  Then my little girl came out of my bathroom….that’s when everything started moving in slow motion.

Because I saw this:

and then I found THESE

SERIOUSLY not one, but two pairs of scissors?!

OH.MY.GOD!

and lastly I found this…

A huge wad of hair.

Then I almost died.

All of her pretty hair….GONE!

Yes, I know it will grow back and all.

Still freaking me out..lol

Since she cut off her hair she won’t be able to wear the headbands I made her.

Or clips I made her.

I am thinking hats, lots and lots of hats.

Oopsie let me get back on track.

All of my headband prototypes were hers.

Now they will be going to 2 lucky winners!

You will have until Wednesday Feb 3rd to enter to win one or the other of these sets:

So if your interested :

1)Leave a comment for one entry

2)Tweet about the Giveaway and leave me another comment w/link to tweet

3)Blog about the giveaway

Winners will be chosen Wednesday Feb. 3rd by random generator.

Good Luck

&

Remember to keep your scissors hidden COMPLETELY form your wee ones.

&

The hair will grow back so laugh out loud too (after you freak out of course)!

  1. Ummmm… whoa!

  2. LOL! I sooooo feel your pain. Baylee not cut hers but she cut Mollee’s too. I will look for those pics tomorrow and share. She is still purty mama but I know you are freaking out!

  3. OMG! for sure, so sorry !
My now 11 yr old son used to take a chunk
out of the front of his hair all the time. I still
have to hide my scissors. He cuts things up in
    my sewing studio.
    Make some cute hat :)

  4. Oh my! ;)

I remember giving my little sister a haircut. It took forever to grow back! Boy did I get in trouble!

LOVE your headbands :) I’d have to fight wee one for it as she loves to accessorize.

  5. oooh no!! sad, but she’s still cute!! love the headbands, i wonder if my tomboy would wear them, lol!

  6. I have 3 little girls and I am trying my darnedest to keep the scissors away from their adorable little hands. I am sure that some day it will happen, but until then, I would love to win a giveaway with cute headbands!

  11. OMG! That EXACT THING happened at my house yesterday too! I blogged about it! Mine looked like she had a mullet and now has a cute pixie with side swept bangs to cover the MASSIVE chunk she took out on one side. Those headbands would be PERFECT!

  13. And I added your post to my post… we’re bonded by hair cutting horrors now! http://www.childhoodclothing.com/2010/01/hair-mutilation-mullet-style.html

  14. I remember when my little sister was 2. My older sister and I were in charge of babysitting my siblings while my parents went out on a date. After awhile things were very quiet and I realized my little sis was missing. I found her sitting in front of our bedroom door trying to keep me from opening it. She had cut her hair very short, her pretty dress, and my doll’s hair! A few minutes later mom and dad got home…:-) Atleast we can look back and laugh about it now!

  15. Beautiful headbands!

  16. OH, NOOO!! So sad for you… happy for us!

  17. Oh Katherine, I’m so sorry she chopped her hair. Chloe did that to me last year. Chopped herself a nice mullet with the same stand-up short bangs in the front. Over six inches off the sides. But! That was the last time she cut her hair. It has finally all grown back and then some. She still talks about how she will let me cut her hair if she wants it to be shortened at all. So hugs. I feel your pain.

But I’ll still throw my hat in for the headbands :)

  18. Wow! Luckily for me, my girls never thought to do this. Ahh–! I don’t know what I would do! Now she’ll have to rock a short cute cut! She’s a pretty girl, her hair won’t make or break her! heehee Cute headbands! My girls would love these!

  19. Cute headbands! Count me in for the giveaway!

  20. I posted this on my blog. :)

  21. Oh, I know how you feel. I had 3 boys and it isn’t the same as with girls, but all 3 of them cut their own hair at some point. There isn’t much you can do but wait it out! Your headbands are adorable! Stopping by from SITS!

  22. Oh no! My niece did the same thing last year… I’m glad there weren’t any cuts. Now…you can laugh. O.k.maybe in a few days. :D

    Stoppin’ by from SITS!

    Good luck Momma!

  25. wow. My daughter has long locks and I make her all kids of hair clips too so if she cut off her hair I would feel the same way you do. Still, it’s HIGHlarious and something you can laugh about… after the healing process. LOL.

  26. I can’t believe that?! Whoa! Did you cry? I would totally cry!

  27. OMG. I would have freaked out! Completely. I am so sorry. Did you fix it? And how?

  28. Oh my. Trying to be like daddy, huh? Yikes.

But, those headbands sure are cute (:

  31. My oldest daughter cut her hair 4 times! She rocked a nice mullet for awhile

  32. This is my first attempt at a giveaway!!!! I don’t usually attempt because i think the chances are so slim but this post was especially dear to me since my brother did the SAME THING to me when I was about 2 and my mom LOST IT! She was so sad. Good news – it grows back!!!

  33. OMG KAT!!

Because I love you and Gabs and Bel would look cute wearing those and because I feel your pain, (Bel did that too, she cut off her whole right side and it took 3 years to get it as long as she had–and you know her it wasn’t long) We should win those. We want those headbands!!!!

  34. Wow! These are some super cute headbands…..Also, I can totally relate to your story…I can still tell where my daughter’s hair is still shorter than the rest due to her “experiment.” LOL!
