I wish…

Have you ever just searched the web and kind of window shopped?  That’s what I did this evening, after I did the “blog hop”.  I looked at the site Anthropologie for the first time ever.  I’ve heard about it tons, but never took a peak. But tonight I looked, and I like what I saw.  I want to buy it all!!  But instead of buying it all I have to settle for collages.  This way I can look at all the pretties.  I wanted you to be able to look at them too.

*Sigh*

It’s all just so pretty.  Bright and colorful just the way I like it!

The price tag of most of it is a little more than I would spend.

But a girl can dream can’t she?!

Maybe some of the items I can re-create.

OR

Search for similar items at Home Goods, Ross, Marshall’s or TJ Maxx.

Those are some of my favorite shopping spots.

Speaking of,

I found a few cool “little” things on my recent shopping escapades.

Like…..

These are stick on magnetic birds w/magnets.

They came in a 6 pack.

They are so handy I tell ya!

I also got this…

Coupon holder.

Fabulous, and practical.

I was really excited for this jewelry holder ma-jigger.

At some point in time I would love to do a craft show.

I thought this would be an excellent prop or display.

Hmm….What’s my favorite color again? Ha!

I also got these little note cards.

2 packs for $2.00 actually.

It’s just a picture of the box.

But the box is cute, and I can re-use it(them) for little bits and bobs.

I hand write a note to all of my customers so these were a must have for me

I’m also loving the blue with the polka dots, and of course we should always “WISH”.

That brings me to another subject.

I “WISH” my baby girls hair would grow faster.

I know it’s not the end of the world.

But she really did a number on her hair (or Hur).

We went the morning after she chopped her hair off to have it “fixed”.

Not much fixing could be done.

This is what were working with now.

See what I mean…All kinds of jacked up!!

She is still cute of course…but dang!!

I was sewing last week and she came up to me and said:

“Mommy I know how to use your scissors”

I was thinking….No shit!

My response:

“Don’t eva, eva, eva, eva, eva, eva touch my scissors again!!”

Her response:

“My doll baby needs her hair cut.”

OMG!

She is too much..lol

Last night she got really sad, and told me she wanted her hair back.

Too late for that.

Oh well, you live and learn.

I have learned to keep my scissors hidden when not in use.

Lets hope I don’t slip up….I probably will.

I’m signing off for the night.

Till next time, peace and hair grease!

Thanks for all of the supportive comments.  I am glad I am not alone in the self inflicted child hair cut epidemic..lol.

Those that have older children, that did this when they were younger.

Thanks to all that entered.

The O to the M to the G! Post & Giveaway

Hey there! Long time no post…lol  No, but really two posts in one day…AMAZING.  This is sort of an impromptu post.  This evening my kids were sent upstairs to go to bed. Then I had to make a “quick” phone call.  As I was still on the phone I ventured upstairs to make sure the kiddies got into bed (or more so herd them into bed).  Anyway, I get upstairs and both kids are in  my room….not really anything different.  Then my little girl came out of my bathroom….that’s when everything started moving in slow motion.

Because I saw this:

and then I found THESE

SERIOUSLY not one, but two pairs of scissors?!

OH.MY.GOD!

and lastly I found this…

A huge wad of hair.

Then I almost died.

All of her pretty hair….GONE!

Yes, I know it will grow back and all.

Still freaking me out..lol

Since she cut off her hair she won’t be able to wear the headbands I made her.

Or clips I made her.

I am thinking hats, lots and lots of hats.

Oopsie let me get back on track.

All of my headband prototypes were hers.

Now they will be going to 2 lucky winners!

You will have until Wednesday Feb 3rd to enter to win one or the other of these sets:

So if your interested :

1)Leave a comment for one entry

2)Tweet about the Giveaway and leave me another comment w/link to tweet

3)Blog about the giveaway

Winners will be chosen Wednesday Feb. 3rd by random generator.

Good Luck

&

Remember to keep your scissors hidden COMPLETELY form your wee ones.

&

The hair will grow back so laugh out loud too (after you freak out of course)!

Shop Sale

I have been meaning to post more frequently.  But I have also been super busy sewing, and re-doing my shop’s website.

I have been racking my brain for new item ideas, as well as old items with an added twist.

Along with re-doing my logo. I wanted something simpler, but still me!

I think I have accomplished that.

This blog’s theme will be changing slowly but surely in the next few weeks.

I plan to be posting more tutorials, and crafty ideas.

I will continue to find and post tutorial links for you all as well.

Any suggestions for what you would like to see more of?

Anything is helpful…….

More tutorials, more products, more links, more family related posts?

GIVEAWAYS?

Who would say no to that….lol

Anyway, to celebrate the new shop opening I have decided to offer a discount.

Enter the code POLKADOT in your cart for 15%off.

The code will be good until next Friday.

(Tell me what you think)

I will be adding new goodies daily, so be sure to check back!

I will post again soon with my new favorite thing.

More so the new thing I HAVE to learn how to do.

It includes a hook, & yarn. You can make some purdy things with them.

Mainly Flowers…….do you know what I mean?

I’ll be sure to share when I come back.
